19TH ANNUAL LONG LAKE ICE FISHING DERBY

JANUARY 27TH & 28TH, 2024

DERBY RULES & REGULATIONS

 

  • All Maine residents (16 yrs & older) must possess a valid Maine fishing license. Non-residents (16 and older) must possess a valid Maine fishing license.
  • The derby starts at 12:01 AM on Saturday January 27, 2024.
  • Only fish caught in Long (St. Agatha, T17R3, T17R4, Madawaska), Cross, St. Froid, Square, Eagle, Glazier, Beau & Portage Lakes, Carr Pond and St. John River will be eligible for derby prizes. All State of Maine ice fishing regulations pertaining to these lakes and waters will apply.
  • Weigh stations (FOR SALMON, BROOK TROUT, TOGUE, CUSK & PERCH) are the Lakeview Restaurant, St. Agatha (207-543-6331), and B & C Pit Stop, Eagle Lake (207-444-5289).
  • Weigh stations for MUSKIE ONLY are; Joe’s Country Store, 1005 Main Street, St. Francis, ME. (207) 398-4172, and Misty Meadows Store, 164 Main Street, Grand Isle, ME. (207) 895-8015.  ABSOLUTELY NO MUSKIE ARE TO BE TRANSPORTED TO “BASE CAMP” (Lakeview Restaurant), or B & C Pit Stop in Eagle Lake.

CROSS LAKE IN T18R10 IS NOT AN ELIGIBLE DERBY LAKE

  • Anglers registered for only one day must register and weigh fish at proper weigh station on identified day selected on registration form.
  • All fish will be registered by weight. (Should 2 fish weigh the same, the fish that measures the longest will be determined the winner).
  • Derby officials must witness all weigh-in and measurements of fish.
  • Weigh stations will be open at 7:00 AM and close at 5:30 PM sharp on both days.
  • Registrations are available at all Registration Outlets until they are collected by Derby officials on Saturday morning, January 27, 2024. After all outlets have been collected, Saturday & Sunday registrations will only be accepted at the Lakeview Restaurant, 9 Lakeview Drive, St. Agatha, ME.
  • All awards will be presented LIVE at the Lakeview Restaurant at 7:00 PM sharp on Sunday, January 28th. Live streaming of awards will also be available at www.wfktv-4.com !!
  • All decisions made by Long Lake Ice Fishing Derby officials are final. ***If deemed necessary, any registered or weighed fish may be confiscated, opened and inspected by Derby Officials***
  • ALL FISHERMEN: ANY FISH CAUGHT, REGISTERED, AND/OR CONFISCATED WILL COUNT TOWARDS YOUR LEGAL POSSESSION LIMIT!!!!
  • If deemed necessary, any angler registering fish may be requested to sign an Affidavit Form certifying; registration number, date of catch, responsibility for catch, type of fish, lake, and approximate time of catch.
